The International School of Haarlem has started to introduce and implement a rigorous, enriching secondary curriculum for students in September 2018.
In the school year 2019-2020, we offer MYP 1 till 4 in our Secondary Department.
In the school year 2020-2021, we will add MYP5 to our Secondary Department.
In the school year 2021-2022 we open our Diploma programme with DP1.
The programme offered at ISH provides a recognised, international curriculum for secondary students in Haarlem and the surrounding municipalities. Subsequent years will see further developments and growth. It is the vision of the school to offer a full International Baccalaureate (IB) programme in the secondary department within its early years of operation.
In May 2018 the International Baccalaureate Organization recognised the ISH as an IB candidate school for the MYP:
International School Haarlem is a candidate school* for the MYP. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.
* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
